Florida has more golf courses than any other state in the country, and the golf industry contributes an overall impact of more than $7 billion to the state's economy. There are "must play" courses from designers like Jack Nicklaus, Pete Dye, Arnold Palmer and Robert Trent Jones sprinkled from Jacksonville to Miami.
You can't mention Orlando without mentioning Disney World, but golf gets at least honorable mention. The Magic Kingdom hosts the annual PGA Merchandise Show, a PGA Tour event and every other year the PGA Tour's Q-School competition. A full spectrum of golf courses, from high-end resort layouts to blue collar daily-fee courses, is available.
